What is a witch? Witches... what are they? Green skinned old ladies wearing pointed hats or normal people that are suspected to be witches? I'd say the latter. A real witch is a person who is suspected to be a witch. Nowadays, the witch is thought of as green old lady with a black and pointy hat, a long nose with a mole on it, ugly grayish-black hair and lots of black gothic clothes... (see pic at right>) But in the olden days they were people(women as well as men) portrayed in wierd clothes that looked similar to "pilgrim clothes". A short flat topped hat with a buckle on it, a dress(women) or shirt(men) that was typically black, brown and white, white tights(both), black or brown pants(men) and black shoes with shiny gold buckles. That is pretty much what a witch is...
